Hi, I’m Khang a design practitioner based in Saigon with nearly seven years of experience, starting from my early days as an intern through to my work in graphic and motion design. Currently, I find myself deeply immersed in branding and creative projects.
For me, a design is not just an image, it is a piece of someone’s life and a part of both their journey and my own. I believe that creative expression is a bridge that connects us which is why I approach every branding project not just as an exercise in aesthetics, but as an opportunity to craft a meaningful story. My goal is always to
move beyond the surface creating work that resonates on a deeper level.

What did I do?
11/2019 - 1/2020 graphic design intern Sincerity Group an Australia-based real estate firm, I gained a practical understanding of the transition from academic theory to professional application. 2/2020 - 6/2020 graphic design intern at a lifestyle magazine, a great opportunity to continue strengthening my core skills in layout and hierarchy with ELLE Vietnam working in a more creative environment, I focused primarily on internal projects, developing tailored proposals for each client.
9/2021 - 3/2023 motion graphic designer Shuttlerock Vietnam a place where I truly grew up, not just as a designer, but as a person. I have a friendly b*tchy French boss would always say when I suggested Vietnamese food, 'Hey Khang, I was here even before you were born, young man.' Yet, he was the one who helped me gain confidence: 'You're doing great, I like this new change, just be yourself.' I came here with nothing, no motion skills, no confidence, but I leave with happiness, great relationships, and a well-packed toolkit of skills.
7/2023 - 8/2025 brand designer Vietcetera a media company where I fully utilized the foundation from my first job, leading the branding for a new channel provided the creative space to craft stories, sparking my deep passion for the branding field.
11/2025 - present creative designer This Is Tommy an independent creative agency and digital studio where I adapted to my first remote role. This experience required me to unlearn old habits to thrive in a new environment, while observing branding from an another perspective. Balancing a high-hustle culture with structured workflows, I sharpened my focus on technical execution and complex problem-solving.
What did I achieved?
Vietnam Design Week Designed by Vietnam Competition 2023
Theme: Design from Constraints. 3rd Prize with One More Seat project. The competition was organized by the Vietnam Design Group and VICAS, this competition challenged us to transform limitations into catalysts for innovation, aiming to elevate the 'Designed by Vietnam' brand on the global stage.

Emerging Design Talent Award presented by RMIT University (Vietnam & Australia), VICAS, and Vietnam Design Week in 2024 recognizing designers who bridge the gap between emerging creative practices and traditional craftsmanship, focusing on cross-cultural art and sustainable design solutions. 3rd Prize with One More Seat project and joining the VFCD, Vietnam Festival of Creativity & Design (2024): Exhibition with day/do (here/there) project.
